Anna and Bernhard Blume were a German artist couple who worked with the medium of photography. Their work focused on large-scale installations and performance art. In their works, they engaged with narrow-minded conventionality and the German petty bourgeoisie in an ironic and grotesque manner.

Filmmaker and photography curator Ralph Goertz was given the opportunity to film the two artists for three days while they were setting up their 2010 exhibition at the Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris. The result is a rare film document in which they speak at length about their artistic practice and the significance of their works. Thank you very much!

Anna und Bernhard Blume waren ein deutsches Künstlerehepaar, das mit dem Medium der Fotografie arbeitet. Schwerpunkt ihrer Arbeit lag in der großformatigen Installation und Aktion. In ihren Werken setzten sie sich auf ironische und groteske Weise mit der Spießbürgerlichkeit und dem deutschen Kleinbürgertum auseinander.

Der Filmemacher und Fotokurator Ralph Goertz durfte die beiden Künstler drei Tage lang während des Aufbaus Ihrer Ausstellung 2010 im Maison Européenne de la Photographie in Paris filmisch begleiten.
