Jörg Sasse gehört zu den wichtigsten deutschen Künstlern und bedient sich des Mediums der Fotografie auf sehr eigenständige Weise. Reduktion, Reflexion und digitale Bearbeitung stehen im Fokus des 1962 in Bad Salzuflen geborenen Künstlers. 1981 wurde Sasse in die Klasse von Bernd Becher an der Düsseldorfer Kunstakademie aufgenommen.

Über drei Jahre durften wir Jörg Sasse in seinem Studio, beim Aufbau seiner Ausstellung im C/O Berlin und beim Fotografieren begleiten.

Der Film gibt tiefe Einblicke in die Arbeitsweise des Künstlers und zeigt auf wie nah Konzeptkunst und Zufall beieinander liegen.

Jörg Sasse is one of the most important German artists who uses the medium of photography in a very independent way. Reduction, reflection and digital processing are the focus of the artist, who was born in Bad Salzuflen in 1962. In 1981 he entered the class of Bernd Becher at the Art Acedemy in Duesseldorf.

For more than three years, we were allowed to accompany Jörg Sasse in his studio, during the construction of his exhibition at C/O Berlin and while he was taking photographs.

The film provides deep insights into the artist's working methods and shows how close conceptual art and coincidence are.
